Our Foundation Dog Training Program is designed for dogs aged 8 months and older.


The goal of this program is to promote responsible dog ownership and support the training of well-mannered dogs capable of handling various environmental distractions.


We cover practical exercises such as recall (coming when called), staying for a set duration, mat training, relaxation techniques, laying down and standing up on cue, and walking calmly on a lead, among other skills.


Educational topics tailored to this age group include on-lead management, interactions with other dogs, interpreting your dog's body language, and the impact of adolescence on behavior. We also provide management strategies for addressing problem behaviors such as jumping, pulling on the lead, and overexcitement/arousal.

Some of the behaviours we cover are:

  • How to use positive reinforcement
  • Building Focus such as, responding to their name & eye contact with mild distractions
  • Walking nicely on a loose lead
  • Leaving objects when asked
  • Recall - Come when called
  • Safe Greetings
  • How to help our dogs to feel supported and relaxed around distractions
  • Move onto mat and settle (for duration)
  • Move into the standing position when asked (for short duration)
  • We cover a number of educational topics such as how dogs learn, environmental enrichment and how to ensure you have safe greetings with other dogs
  • Your dog will also gain socialisation and exposure to other dogs, children and adults

Each program is tailored to specifically to meet individual client’s needs.

Private Adult Dog Training at home

3 x 1 hour sessions $330

Our private behaviour consults are $220 (1.5 hour-2 hours) for the first session and $130 for each subsequent session (1 -1.5 hour).
